What is Trade Strife?
Trade Strife is a genre-defining economic MMO living in a single persistent universe where players shape every facet of the game economy.
Where can I play?
You can start playing right now here for free! Trade Strife is a browser-based game. You can play on your phone, tablet, laptop, desktop... anywhere you have an internet browser. You do not need to download, install, or buy anything.
How much does Trade Strife cost?
It is a free game.
Who would like this game?
Anyone who enjoys games with player-driven economies, trading, politics, and strategy. For many games, the player market is a means to an end. In Trade Strife, the market is the core game.
What games are inspiring the design and mechanics of this game?
We take inspiration from many amazing games that revolve around production, supply chains, markets, and player trade. Some of those games include Eve Online, Foxhole, the Anno series, and even old school games like Monopoly Tycoon
Is there combat/fighting?
Yes, but not in the traditional sense. Fights over land, towns, and resources are done through mostly simulated battles which are influenced by player strategy, planning, and supply lines. Trade Strife combat is the epitome of the old saying 'battles are won with firepower, wars are won with logistics.'
Do I have to fight?
Nope. It's completely opt-in. You choose.
Are there Player vs Player (PVP) aspects of this game?
Yes, but you choose how much you want to be involved, if at all. You can be a peaceful trader, a cunning market manipulator, a hyper-optimized industrialist, or a warmonger. The choice is yours.
Can I play solo?
Hypothetically yes, you could completely 'vertically integrate' yourself for certain playstyles, goods, and services. However, it's a multiplayer game with an economically interdependent market as its core mechanic. You can play solo, but your journey will be much more efficient coordinating and trading with other players. (On the flip side, as a solo, you may be more resilient to sudden market changes...!)
